Modern Painters, New Decorators is an arts organisation running art projects and building creative communities in Loughborough, East Midlands. We run a programme of art related activities including exhibitions, talks, events, markets and workshops.

Our Clay Day is a free interactive drop-in workshop. Make sculptures to feature in our new exhibition and then take home. Get your creative fix through making tiles, ornaments, models and everything in between using nature as your inspiration and air-dry clay and plasticine as your material. Why not collaborate with us in bringing this new exhibition to life? All levels of experience are welcome – from young to old. Our shop and bar will also be open.
ABOUT THE PROJECT 
Our Clay Day is a part of ‘A Mountain is A Mountain’ is a three-part project about humans and nature. This summer Modern Painters, New Decorators will be running clay workshops, touring artworks to a sculpture park and hosting an exhibition in their gallery. The project is commissioned by Collective Matter.
ABOUT MODERN PAINTERS, NEW DECORATORS
 Modern Painters, New Decorators is an artist-led organisation running a gallery, shop and studios from a shopping centre in Loughborough, East Midlands. We enable artist to re-energise the local by producing free contemporary art exhibitions, artist-produced products and creative membership schemes. We’re known for our collaborative approach to exhibition-making and our unique volunteer development programme.
