Clearleft Public Speaking Workshop
Event Information
Description
Do you ever have to speak in public? Maybe deliver a talk at a conference?
No?
Well, what about comapny or team presentations?
We've all had to deal with that situation at some point, haven't we?
Do you relish those opportunities? Do you gleefully rub your hands together and think "oh, boy! A chance to stand up in front of strangers and declaim to them! What joy!"?
No?
Then you need help.
Public speaking is a really useful skill to have, whether running a meeting with your colleagues, giving a presentation at a small local event, or standing on stage at TED.
Andy Budd is Founder and Managing Director at Clearleft and has been speaking at conferences and events large and small for over 10 years. As conference organisers Clearleft has also encouraged hundreds of people to contribute to our events, many first time speakers.
It’s an incredibly rewarding, but occasionally nerve-wracking experience. So we’ve put together a workshop to help people dip their toes into the world of public speaking. We’ll help you practice a number of public speaking techniques in a small, friendly and supportive environment, and will guarantee that you’ll be a more confident public speaker as a result.
To make sure the workshop is open to a wide variety of people, we have three ticket prices, and we'll leave it to your honesty to select the one you can afford.
