The climate crisis is affecting us all, but the severity of its effects are not spread justly. Those who contribute the least to environmental degradation are experiencing its effects most severely. In this webinar we will be discussing how this is a consequence of social and economic factors, the institutional and structural constructs that exacerbate this problem. We will take a global view and recognise that this can mean different things across the globe but also draw on specific case studies that highlight this injustice. Additionally we will put the sustainability and environmental sector under the microscope and discuss why minorities are so poorly represented in this area in the UK. Join the conversation about how we can incorporate sustainability and climate action into our daily lives, and find out how you can receive the University of London’s Sustainability Advocate Award by taking part in our monthly challenges.
