Climate Café

Climate Café

Overview

A safe and non-judgemental space for people to get together to talk and act on climate change.

What is a Climate Café?

As the climate crisis deepens, so does our need to talk about it, not just the science or politics, but the personal impact: our grief, fear, frustration and longing for change.

The Hearth’s Climate Café is a space for open, heartfelt conversation, a place where you can share what you’re feeling and your concerns, listen deeply to others, and feel better by sharing positive thoughts and consider how to take action.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you're newly aware or deeply involved in climate issues, this is a space to feel heard and respected, to sit with difficult emotions, and to rediscover hope through connection and shared purpose.

Join us to be part of a compassionate community that listens, supports, and explores how we can move forward, together.

What to Expect:

  1. An open, non-judgemental space to express your thoughts and emotions about the climate crisis.
  2. Warm, in-person connection with likeminded people who care.
  3. Guided discussions led by facilitators with interest and empathy.
  4. An opportunity to share simple, practical actions to help you feel more hopeful

Underlying Principles

  1. Human-induced climate change is real, and it is a problem.
  2. This is a welcoming, non-intimidating space for everyone.
  3. We value inclusion across age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, immigration status, carbon footprint and climate knowledge.
  4. Our method is rooted in hope, strength and action, approaching climate action from a local standpoint.
