Climate Literacy Training - Edinburgh

Climate Literacy Training - Edinburgh

Overview

Free Certification

Join us in our newly accredited climate literacy course. Come along to learn more about the importance of climate awareness whilst discovering postive ways on how we can all make a difference. These sessions were developed by our team at the C3R Project to make climate topics more approachable and accessible to all and we are excited to share them with you.

Dates:

20th February | 1 - 5 pm (in person)

27th February | 1 - 4 pm (online)

*An additional activitiy will be delivered to be completed at home as well as the required certification evidence form - attendance to both sessions is necessary in order to successfully complete training

Training Outline:

  1. Climate Science and Justice
  2. Causes and Impacts: what is contributing to climate change and how it's currently, and will continue to, affect us
  3. Adaptation and Mitigation: understanding what is currently being done and what we can do on an individual level
  4. Communicating Climate Change: how we can best approach conversations and learn from each other

Certificate: A Carbon Literacy certification is a globally recognised qualification from The Carbon Literacy Project that requires completing an accredited, 8-hour training program covering climate change and personal carbon footprints, this includes a short assessment at the end. This can be very valuable not only on a personal level but also on a professional one (it is also a great addition for a CV, as showing climate awareness is essential across all professional areas). If you have any other questions regarding the course of the certification process, please reach out!
