Cloth Patch Making Workshop

Cloth Patch Making Workshop

Overview

A group workshop making cloth patches with off-cuts and free-style machine or hand sewing.

Hello and welcome. My name is Claire the Ethical Tailor. In this class, you will make patches using my studio scrap cloth/off-cuts. All sewn together using freestyle machine sewing techniques or by hand as visible creative stitches. You will have 2 hours to be as creative as you want in a small group setting, reducing landfill waste by turning scraps into fashion, closing the loop.

Bring any garments or fabric items along to add patches to or make appliqué patches to add on at home. All equipment, thread, and cloth scraps are provided.

This class is for all ages and abilities and is a group class. Come along to get creative, learn new skills, connect with new people, and re-imagine your forgotten and unworn garments/items. This class occurs once every month.

You will be in safe hands learning from myself (Claire), The Ethical Tailor, with over 5 years of teaching experience in sewing and garment-making skills. These classes also give back when bought, contributing to a project helping people with learning difficulties gain cooking skills in the UK.

This class will only happen on the dates and times available to book.
