Clothes make the sailor

Clothes make the sailor

National Maritime MuseumLondon, England
Saturday, Feb 7 from 2 pm to 4 pm GMT
Overview

Join Ema and Linnea from our Queer History Club and dive into the history of fashion in our collection.

Reimagine the relationship between clothes and seafaring through a queer lens. We'll take a gallery tour to unravel the connections between sailors and fashion, and think about how clothes help people to express who they truly are.

Once we've gathered enough inspiration, we'll head to the Rethink space to draw, collage and describe our dream sailor outfit.

Starting point - Nelson Navy Nation gallery

2.30-4.30pm

For ages 13+. Anyone under the age of 18 must attend with an adult.

This is a free event, please cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to attend.
