Overview

The broad purpose of coaching is to empower and engage with the coachee to achieve their goals.

The broad purpose of coaching is to empower and engage with the coachee to achieve their goals. It is a way of leading in a non-directive manner, helping to learn through deep listening and reflective, open questions rather than instructing, giving advice, or making suggestions.

Non-directive, Non-judgmental. Coach enables you to come out with your own solution and to challenge and raise self-awareness.

Your coach can support you through:

  • Helping you to understand your hidden skills and capabilities.
  • Spotting the barriers you create for yourself
  • Identifying your development goals
  • Helping you to clarify the pathway from current state to future state

What to expect from your coach

  • Contracting with you to agree how you work together
  • Ask you powerful questions to deepen learning and insight
  • Help you to recognise your own strengths and build on these
  • Challenge your thinking and any limiting beliefs
  • Support your own reflective practice
  • Act as a confidential sounding board
  • Hold you accountable and encourage open feedback to further develop self-awareness
  • Encourage you to move to action
