Harrogate community coastal litter picking event in Filey - Coastal Wealth launch
We’re inviting families, individuals and community members to join us in Filey for a coordinated coastal litter pick, followed by a warm indoor gathering and a short reflection on community, the environment and shared responsibility.
This event marks the launch of Coastal Wealth; a year-long community campaign led by SVH Inc. CIC, aligned with the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign.
The launch is being delivered with 7th Harrogate Scouts and Filey Scout groups, with ticket sales raising funds for 7th Harrogate Scouts’ Development & Inclusion Fund.
Time: 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Location: Filey Beach
Contribution: £10 per family
(This is a fundraising contribution supporting the Scouts’ Development & Inclusion Fund and event planning)
Who it’s for
• Families looking for a simple, purposeful day out
• Young people working towards environmental or litter-picking badges
• Older young people gathering evidence for Duke of Edinburgh Awards
• Individuals who want to take practical action for the coast
Good to know
• Litter-picking equipment will be provided
• Families and individuals make their own way to Filey
Parking available at West Avenue Car Park 96 West Ave, Filey YO14 9BG.
Meet at Glen Gardens Play Park (entrance 4 mins walk from West Avenue Car Park) at 11.45am.
