Sculpture in the City’s: Cocktail & Create
With Sculpture in the City Artist Elisa Artesero
Join Sculpture in the City artist Elisa Artesero for a free cocktail & creative workshop in gifting sunset.
In this free workshop, guests will sip on a complimentary themed cocktail as you are guided by Sculpture in the City Artist, Elisa Artesero to gift a sunset you can hold in your hand.
In this immersive workshop, you will create a pocket-sized piece of Light Art—an intimate sculpture designed to be treasured, whether offered to someone special or kept as a luminous reminder for yourself. Inspired by the Light Art practice of Sculpture in the City artist Elisa Artesero, you will be expertly guided through crafting a sculptural form that resembles a beautifully wrapped gift yet unfolds to reveal a fleeting sunset that subtly transforms with the ambient light of its surroundings. A poetic object, a personal ritual, and a work of art, all in one.
The Garden of Floating Words is a neon poem that appears to be floating in the darkness from within the foliage of the garden planter. During the daytime, the words are revealed to be on tall rectangular clear acrylic stands, their structure echoing the tall glass buildings surrounding the garden space, but at night the words alone become the main feature. Using neon, a light source traditionally associated with the city, Artesero creates something ephemeral to make a space for quiet contemplation within the busy complex.

Eastern City
We are the Eastern City BID, the Business Improvement District working to promote and enhance a unique part of the City of London, known as the Eastern City.
In February 2022, the Eastern City business community voted to establish a formal Business Improvement District (BID) in the area, after the success of its predecessor – the EC Partnership.
Business Partnerships and Business Improvement Districts give a voice to business communities – championing local priorities and ensuring the right people are at the decision table. Businesses understand that together they can be stronger; lobbying on big, strategic issues that impact on their commercial performance and ability to grow. This is not a case of the private sector plugging public sector funding gaps, but genuine collaboration and collective action.
