MadLab Family Tech Sessions is a series of family-friendly events for aspiring young digital creatives aged 7+ and their parents – taking place this January and February at Stockport Museum.

This workshop will give you an introduction to coding games with micro:bit, the pocked-sized computer designed to inspire creative thinking in children.Each session is 2 hours long. Sign up for one of two sessions on Wednesday 14th January:10:30am - 12:30pm1:30pm - 3:30pm What you’ll doYou will:<ul><li>Learn the basics of computer programming using a friendly drag-and-drop code interface</li><li>Learn about physical computing while loading your code onto a micro:bit electronic device</li><li>Code and play a Rock, Paper, Scissors game</li></ul> Who’s this for?This is a workshop for SEND children aged 7-12.SEND sessions are designed to support children with additional needs. Every booking automatically grants entry to the accompanying adult. Due to venue size, we ask that you don't bring more grown-ups so that everyone has plenty of room to create! CostThis event is free to attend. We charge a £3 booking fee, which is refunded after you attend the event. If you prefer, you can also leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events.
