The Word is a tate-of-the-art cultural venue in South Tyneside, brimming with exciting new experiences, activities and facilities for people of all ages to engage and enjoy.

Learn how to programme your own interactive stories, games and animation using Scratch with Code Club at The Word.
Come along to our sessions for children of all abilities, whether you are a beginner or have experience of creating projects. All are welcome!
Sessions run for 6 weeks (term time only) from 10.30-11.30am on the following dates:

The sessions take place at the children’s library on the second floor of The Word.
Please note: if you wish to attend multiple sessions, you must book for each separate date.
Sessions are free but booking is essential due to the number of computers available.
