What is it?

As part of London Tech Week (June 9-13, 2025), CodeBase is hosting a special drinks mixer at Sustainable Ventures to showcase the power of the wider UK startup ecosystem and connect with London's thriving tech scene.


What can I expect?

As CodeBase aims to building better ecosystems by lowering the barriers to entry for startup founders and teams, this mixer is a chance to connect with startups, investors, academia, corporates and local government also attending London Tech Week.

There will be a drinks reception, short 30-minute panel discussion and plenty time for networking in a relexed setting by the River Thames and Westminister. The panel will explore the dynamic work being done by regional startup incubators and how to strengthen connections with London as a key driver of the UK Startup Ecosystem.


Who else will be there?

You will be joined by a diverse mix of founders, key ecosystem builders and stakeholders from Sustainable Ventures, Barclays Eagle Labs and CodeBase.


Where and when is this taking place?

This event will take place at Sustainable Ventures, County Hall from 6:00-8:00PM. Sustainable Ventures is located between Westminster and Waterloo station on Belvedere Road.


How to get to Sustainable Ventures from London Tech Week (Olympia)

From Westminster Station: 9 minute walk

From Waterloo Station: 5-10 minute walk

Option 1: District Line from Barons Court to Westminster Station

  • Walk from Kensington Olympia to Barons Court Station which should take around 12 minutes and board the District Line train Eastbound
  • Walk across Westminster Bridge towards Belvedere Road where Sustainable Ventures is.

Option 2: Mildmay Overground Line from Kensington Olympia + SWR Train to Waterloo Station

  • Starting at Olympia London, take a short walk to Kensington (Olympia) Station. From there, you can take a brief 11-minute Overground ride to Clapham Junction on the Mildmay line.
  • After a quick 2-minute walk within Clapham Junction Station, board a South Western Railway train to Waterloo, an 11-minute journey. Finally, a 6-minute walk will take you to Sustainable Ventures.

We ask everyone to sign up individually, so we can have an estimate of how many people want to attend. We will also check-in each person on Eventbrite as they join the event so make sure you've signed up to the event in order to attend!
