We offer a variety of events for All, free family stem events and talks and lectures delivered by our experts in our world class Nationally Styled  Accredited working Musuem.

Their vision is that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science, just like biology, chemistry or algebra. Code.org organizes the annual Hour of Code campaign which has engaged 10% of all students in the world and provides the leading curriculum for computer science. In partnership with Code.org, The National Museum of Computing is offering a free Hour of Code workshop featuring a Minecraft lesson plan from Code.org for kids aged 8 to 13 years. Explore the world of Minecraft and exercise your critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity!
 There are three one-hour, workshops available on Friday 29th December. The museum opens at midday and closes at 5pm. 
 
Please be present 20 min before your workshop session for registration!
 
<H4>The Hour of Code is being run as a part of the December Bytes festival at The National Museum of Computing. An entrance fee is required to gain admittance to the museum, but there will be no additional cost for the Hour of Code workshop.</H4>
 
<H4>Please note that this is not a drop-off event; parent supervision is required for the entire duration.</H4>

FAQ
Can I bring my own laptop?
Yes! But please make sure it's a laptop and not a tablet; both Mac and PC are fine. If you do not wish to bring one we do have PCs available for use.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
The workshops are split into various age groups and are given tasks apropriate to that age group. Please select the one apropriate to your child's age. 
My child has taken part in code.org activities before, is this just old material?
This is brand new materials made for the December 2017 code.org event. They will be taking part in this new activity along with thousands of other schoolkids around the world.
We just want to come to the workshop and not pay to access the museum? 
Since the workshop is free, we require participants to pay the usual Museum entrance fee.
An Adult Ticket is £7.50 per person
A Childs Ticket is £5.00 per person
A Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) is £20.00.
