CoderDojo NE @ Campus North (Pi Special)
Date and time
Description
Have you got a Raspberry Pi but aren't entirely sure how to work it? Bring it along to August's CoderDojo at Campus North on Saturday 27th August, where Phil Jeffes will be on hand to take you through the basics.
Starting with the basics, he will show you how to install the operating system on an SD card* and talk about other pieces of equipment you will need to get your Raspberry Pi to work.
Once it's up and running, there will be lots of examples of fun projects you can do with a Raspberry Pi, including some hands on demos so you can get stuck in and start working on them straight away!
Phil will also prepare some worksheets that you can take away with you so you can continue to work on your pi at home.
Haven't got a Raspberry Pi? Don't worry...there will be Raspberry Pi stations so you can have a play around with one and uncover lots of possibilities.
Do I need to bring anything?
*These are the SD cards we will be using. We will have some available for you to use on the day, but if you would like to bring your own you will need an 8GB MicroSDHC card (Class 10)
As always, please bring a laptop along. If you need to borrow one, let us know prior to CoderDojo and we can arrange one for you.
