About this event
Are you aged 14–18 and interested in discovering how coding works?
Join Inclusive Bytes CIC for a friendly, beginner-level coding session designed to make programming accessible and enjoyable. No previous coding experience is needed.
During this practical two-hour workshop, you will complete an introductory coding activity and learn how to break challenges into manageable steps. You will experiment with ideas, identify and correct mistakes, and develop solutions at your own pace.
The session will help you build valuable problem-solving, logical-thinking and independent-learning skills that can be used in education, employment and everyday life.
What you’ll explore
During the session, you will:
- Learn some of the basic principles of coding
- Complete an accessible introductory programming activity
- Break problems down into smaller, manageable steps
- Develop logical and computational thinking skills
- Practise identifying and correcting coding errors
- Build confidence in learning and working independently
- Discover how coding is used in digital careers and creative projects
Who is this session for?
This session is for young people aged 14–18 who live in or around Oldham and would like to try coding in a supportive and inclusive environment.
No previous coding experience is required.
