We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to code, regardless of their postcode.Recode provides a free coding education for individuals who belong to underrepresented groups within the technology industry and to anyone for whom adversity or financial hardship acts as a barrier to entry.

<H2>This event is a monthly meetup. We have designed these workshops to introduce coding to residents of Bolton.</H2>
<H2>We will introduce you to HTML and get you started on your journey to discovering a possible career in technology or just simply learn some new skills.</H2>

Why is coding so important?
Without coding, computers would literally do nothing. They would be completely useless.
That’s because the source code is the set of instructions that tells the computer what to do. If you have ever sent an email, searched something of Google, requested an uber... They're all actions powered by software.
The interface renders content which is created by HMTL &amp; CSS.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is perfect for people aged over 18 who have never touched a line of code. This is for any adult wanting to learn to code in a group environment or learn a new skill. You may want to learn for pure enjoyment or to further your existing career.
What do we expect from you?
To attend this session you will need to bring along your own laptop and charger. We expect you to be able to speak basic English and agree to our code of conduct and most importantly we want you to bring your charisma and enthusiasm.
I'm interested but I've never coded before, can I still come?
Absolutely! This workshop is designed specifically for total beginners, our mentors are briefed to keep jargon to a minimum, and as well as a friendly lecture we'll provide visual aids for you to refer to. This workshop will be a safe space to ask all the questions you need to, all of us are here and excited to support you on your coding journey.
What are the starting salaries in technology?
Entry level salaries in the area can range anywhere between £16,000 - £35,000.
What if I don't own a laptop?
We endeavor to try our best to find you a laptop. Please tell us that you require a laptop, by selecting the correct ticket when signing up to this event. We will try our best but we cannot guarantee this. Our fabulous event sposnor Full Circle IT supply our extra laptops, on a first come first served basis.

How accessible is this venue?
The building is fully accessible, air-conditioned and wifi enabled. We will also provide pizza and refreshments, coding does work up an appetite! There is also free parking on-site too. Please let us know if we need to be aware of any barriers you may face that we haven't identified.
