About this event
kata, n. A system of basic exercises or formal practice used to teach and improve the execution of coding techniques.
Come and join us for some deliberate TDD and SOLID coding practice online with some likeminded people. All languages, all skill levels[*] welcome - all we ask is you bring humility, humour and an open mind.
The session will be guided by Chris Pitts, an experienced agile coach and developer. This is the first time this session has been run online, so expect some rough edges and unexpected glitches!
In order to keep everything a secure as possible, the Zoom link to the online meeting will be forwarded closer to the session.
Rough Agenda:
- 15 mins - Introductions, define problem
- 25 mins - Round 1 pairing
- 15 mins - Show & tell. Discussion
- 5 mins - Break
- 25 mins - Round 2 pairing
- 25 mins - Show & tell. Discussion
- 10 mins - Wrapup
Post meeting - I shall keep the meeting open for a while for discussions/networking/virtual beers/coffees
[*] Almost all... This session is suited to people with some knowledge of at least one programming language - it is not designed for complete beginners to programming.
