Coding At Dragon Hall : Sphero RVR+ Robotics Workshop
Hands-on coding and robotics session with the Sphero RVR (“Rover”), an all-terrain robot kids can drive, code, and bring to life.
Introducing the Sphero RVR+ or just Rover to friends, a fast and nimble mobile robot designed like an all-terrain vehicle.
In this fun, hands-on session, kids will drive, code, and bring RVR to life—making it zoom around, dodge obstacles, flash colourful lights, and react to its surroundings.
They can invent games, create challenges, and team up with friends to see whose robot can complete missions the fastest.
There will also be the following activities :
- Learn how to code a website
- Play with BBC micro-bit and Zip Halo
- Learn and create Scratch games
- Learn Python and JavaScript
or just work on your own projects with some assistance from the mentors
As always there will be Show & Tell at the end for ninjas to present projects created on the day or other cool projects they have been working on recently, these are not limited to things done at this session.
Practical info Please bring a laptop with you, either fully charged or with a cable.
*All attendees need to present a ticket to the building security to gain access to this Workshop*
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the session.
If tickets are unavailable, please join the waitlist. The event is completely free but numbers are limited and we do ask that you register and get a ticket in advance so that we can plan for the correct numbers.
