Catrin Edwards / Parama 2

Following the success of ‘Making it!’ Parama 2’s writing project for older women, we are arranging a further free workshop to be staged during Age Cymru’s Gwanwyn Festival 2017.
Cofio / Remember is designed to build on our previous work with the Making it! workshop participants but is also suitable for new participants. The project is designed to turn oral history and memories into a dramatic, short story or song form.  The aim is to incentivise and inspire both experienced and non-experienced writers, and to encourage those interested to take the first step.
The project is in two parts: -
Cofio / Remember Part 1: On May 2nd 2017 Parama 2 will present a rehearsed reading of play and songs inspired by research and verbatim material. This will be followed with a description by the authors of their modus operandi. This consists of advice on identifying stories, developing characters, what would work as a song, guidelines for turning verbatim into dramatic form and bringing the past to life for audiences and readers.
Cofio / Remember Part 2: May 23rd 2017 will be an intensive and fun day involving excercises and improvisation designed to further develop characters and stories and identification of visual and non-verbal elements to enhance the memories & stories of the above. We will also Identify participants favoured medium for their stories, whether it be radio, theatre, short story or song. We’ll also look at the use of song and music to tell stories, to drive the plot, to articulate inner feelings or to produce atmosphere and mood.

Yn dilyn llwyddiant Making it! llynedd, gweithdy scriptio Parama 2 ar gyfer menywod hŷn bydd y cwmni yn cynnal gweithdy arall yn ystod Gŵyl y Gwanwyn: Age Cymru eleni.
Bydd Cofio / Remember yn adeiladu ar ein gwaith llynedd on bydd hefyd yn addas ar gyfer cyfranogwyr newydd. Mae’r prosiect wedi’i lunio i roi cymorth i droi hanes llafar ac atgofion yn sgriptiau dramatig, straeon byrion neu ganeuon. Y bwriad yw anog ac ysbrydoli ysgrifenwyr profiadol ac amhrofiadol, a hybu rhai â diddordeb i gymryd y cam cyntaf. Yn ogystal, yr ydym yn credu bod hi’n bwysig rhannu straeon menywod hŷn sy’n ein trwytho a’n haddysgu.
Bydd y prosiect mewn dwy rhan: -
Cofio / Remember Rhan1: Bydd Parama 2 yn cyflwyno darlleniad a chaneuon o ddrama gan Valmai Jones a Catrin Edwards ar Fai 2il 2017. Mae’r gwaith wedi’i ysbrydoli gan ymchwil a deunydd llafar gair am air. Dilynir y cyflwyniad gan ddisgrifiad o ddulliau gweithredu yr awduron, yn cynnwys cyngor ar sut i adnabod straeon, datblygu cymeriadau, beth sy’n gweithio fel cân, canllawiau ar gyfer troi’r llafar mewn i ffurf dramatig ayyb. 
Bydd Cofio / Remember Rhan 2 ar Fai 23ain yn ddiwrnod dwys a thrylwyr ond llawn hwyl yn cynnyws ymarferion a gwaith byrfyfyr sydd o gymorth i ddatblygu cymeriadau a straeon ac adnabod elfennau gweledol a dieiriau er mwyn hybu atgofion a straeon. Byddwn yn dynodi hoff gyfrwng y cyfranogion prun ai’n radio theatr stori fer neu gân. Byddwn yn edrych ar ddefnydd caneuon a cherddoriaeth wrth ddweud stori, i yrru’r plot, rhannu teimladau mewnol y cymeriadau neu greu awyrgylch.
