Why have you introduced entry only by pre-booked tickets?

The garden has become very popular with visitors so we have introduced a timed ticketing entry system in order to manage the entry flow of visitors to improve your experience.

Are dogs allowed into the garden?

Dogs on short leads are welcome in the garden.  Please pick up any mess, bins are provided.

Are there refreshments?

Each weekend a different charity sells hot drinks, cakes and snacks in the Long Room.

Can I buy snowdrops?

We have a plant stall selling a variety of snowdrops and early spring flowering bulbs.

Are there toilets?

Accepted Answer

Toilets, including a disabled toilet, are located in the courtyard by the plant stall and there are also toilets in the car park.

What is the accessibility like?

Accepted Answer

While some gardens are inaccessible to wheelchair users due to slopes or steps, most snowdrops can be enjoyed from the paths and tracks. Paths are maintained, but winter weather can still make them muddy and slippery.

On entry please let our team know you are a wheelchair user and they can direct you to a suitable parking area.

When is the best time to see the snowdrops?

There is a wide variety of snowdrops and other winter flowering shrubs and plants to see throughout the season.

Can I book a guided tour for a group?

Accepted Answer

Weekdays during the snowdrop season we offer guided tours for coach parties and groups of over 20.  These must be booked in advance, please email info@colesbournegardens.org.uk for availability and further details.

Do you offer guided tours for individuals?

Due to the popularity of our guided tours, we now also offer 2 weekday mornings for individuals who wish to experience the tour usually only available to groups.  Booking and payment required in advance, please email info@colesbournegardens.org.uk for availability and further details.

Question 11

Can coaches bring visitors on weekend open days?

Accepted Answer

Yes, although as we have a limited number of coach parking spaces all coaches need to book a space by paying a deposit in advance.  Please email info@colesbournegardens.org.uk.

Do children have to pay?

Children under 16  visit the gardens Free .
