LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOPS @ COLEY PARK COMMUNITY CENTREMonday 28th November &amp; Monday 5th December 3.30pm-5.30pmSuitable for all ages (younger children will need support from their adults)Please book one ticket per person making a lanternREADING LANTERN PARADE - DANCE OF THE FIREFLIESJoin us on the 10th December for a magical winter lantern procession for everybody in the community. Walk together in lantern light and follow the glowing fireflies as they dance their way along Broad Street to Forbury Gardens.A heart-warming celebration of the festive season filled with lights, music and community spirit.LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOPSIn the run up to the event lantern making workshops will be held across Reading so that everybody has the opportunity to come along and make their own beautiful willow and paper lantern for the procession. Each lantern workshop last two hours and will be supported by professional artists who will show you how to make your lantern and where to come on the day of the procession. Reading buses will also be providing discounted travel from locations outside of the town centre for anybody coming in to take part in the procession with a lantern (travel vouchers will be given to those attending the workshops) ACCESSThe procession will move at a slow walking pace and accessible viewing areas will be available in Forbury Gardens. Coley Park Community Centre is accessible for wheelchair users with accessible facilities.
