The GAMBICA University and Industry Collaboration (GUIC) group emerged from a GAMBICA pilot event in September 2021 designed to explore, and potentially improve, effective linkages between industry and academia in the UK.
For the most part, academia is focused on education, research and discovery, while industry is focused on developing products and services that provide solutions to practical applications. Our vision is to improve the mechanisms by which these parallel worlds can merge in ways that realise genuine synergy. The scope for collaboration is very broad and includes: funding; knowledge sharing and transfer; research, innovation and product development; commercialisation; curricular relevance - degree & post-graduate courses; student scholarships and industrial placement; and graduate employability.
GAMBICA’s GUIC is delighted to invite you to ‘COLLABORATE!’ – a celebration of our accomplishments so far, but also a forum for industry & academia to contribute to our future direction and focus.
