Collaborative Peer Group with PETA, Reed and Biscoes Solicitors: The HR Update.

PETA are delighted to be hosting a brand‑new Collaborative Peer Group event in partnership with Reed and Biscoes Solicitors.

This free‑to‑attend session is open to both members and non‑members, bringing together HR professionals from across the community to hear from three expert speakers. The event is designed to explore the essential strategies and legal responsibilities every HR professional needs to understand, offering practical insights and guidance you can apply straight away.

Our experts will explore several key HR topics.

Jamie Garrett - Head of Sales and Marketing at PETA

  • Will provide learning and development strategies to support staff retention and skills growth within your workforce.

Stuart Seagrove - Senior Associate Solicitor & Head of Employment at Biscoes Solicitors

  • Will discuss bonus and commission structures, employee benefits, and share options and schemes. He will also cover claw-back measures and post-termination restrictions to help retain employees and protect your business from staff or client poaching.

Sultana Ali - Business Immigration Solicitor & Head of Immigration at Biscoes Solicitors

  • Will discuss employers’ legal responsibilities, processes, and compliance strategies for preventing illegal working.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session at the end of the event.

Attending this session will give you practical, actionable guidance on how to reward, retain and protect your workforce through effective compensation structures and robust post‑termination protections. You’ll also gain clarity on your legal responsibilities and the compliance processes needed to minimise the risk of illegal working and avoid costly penalties. Beyond that, the event will explore how sustained, strategic investment in staff capability can strengthen organisational resilience, boost competitiveness and ensure you’re well‑prepared for the future.

Full details of the event:

  • Wednesday 29th April 2026
  • 9.00 - 11.30 (breakfast included)
  • Hosted at PETA | 1 Access Point, Northarbour Rd, Cosham, Portsmouth PO6 3TE
