Collaging Queer Edinburgh with Kamal Malhotra
Discover and interact with Edinburgh's queer history through this informal collage workshop.
Join artist Kamal Malhotra to explore Edinburgh’s queer history through vintage maps, images, magazines, scissors, and glue! This informal collage workshop looks at the material Lavender Menace used for our Desire Paths exhibition and encourages participants to remix and redesign Edinburgh’s queer past.
About the facilitator
Kamal Malhotra is an Edinburgh-based illustrator who graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2024. His favourite subjects to explore are queer experiences of the body, the internet and digital culture, and gay sex. He has an interest in printmaking and regularly works with risograph, linocut, and monotype, often combined with digital and other traditional media. He also enjoys designing posters and publications.
