Julia Swarbrick a visual artist specialising in painting and printmaking.  Alongside developing her own art practice she have extensive experience delivering workshops, demonstrations and visual arts events.Julia has exhibited widely and her work can be found in international collections from Australia to the USA."It’s a real pleasure to share my skills and knowledge and I always learn so much from working with other people. My workshops cater for everyone from total beginners to experienced arts practitioners. DescriptionExplore the versatile collagraph printmaking technique over two days. Discover how to make printing plates using tape, foil, card and an assortment of collected materials both natural and man made. With cutting, gluing and layering you will construct your plates. Once your plates are ready you will be applying inks and printing your plate on either an etching press or die cutting machine. By the end of the session you will have created a selection of handmade collagraph prints and a personalised box to take them home in.<ul><li>This workshop is ideal for complete beginners or those who have some previous printmaking experience and would like to develop a new technique.</li><li>All materials and equipment are provided.</li><li>Tea, coffee and cakes are provided. </li><li>Bring your own lunch or visit one of the nearby cafes.</li>Saturday 10:30 am - 3:30pmSunday 10:30 am - 3:00pm</ul>For more information on my practice visit my website www.swarbiearts.co.ukTerms &amp; ConditionsOne day ticket available if you can only attend the SaturdayWorkshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date.
