The most challenging and complex social issues are rarely solved by one organisation working alone – they often require high levels of collaboration between multiple organisations and people over sustained periods of time. Sheffield, like other cities, has its own social issues - health inequalities, poverty, youth violence, raising educational attainment, access to sport, physical activity and cultural services for example. Sheffield Hallam University is part of the Sheffield Children Youth and Families Consortium and is committed to collaborative working to achieve its vision of creating a city providing equal access to cultural, creative, sporting and physical activities which enrich the lives of children, youth and families living in under-served communities. The Consortium is using the Stanford Innovation Review Collective Impact Framework to guide its operations and development. The framework has an extensive evidence base from across the world and is designed to tackle deeply entrenched and complex social problems by providing an innovative and structured approach to making collaborations work across government, business, philanthropy, non-profit organisations and citizens to achieve significant and lasting social change. Hosted by Sheffield Hallam University, this event aims to:<ul><li>Develop a common understanding of the Collective Impact Framework </li><li>Raise awareness of the role and ambitions of the Sheffield Children Youth and Families Consortium</li><li>Share experiences of multi-agency collaborative working in a variety of settings</li><li>Encourage enhanced levels of collaborative working in Sheffield in the future</li></ul>This event also offers you the opportunity to network with other businesses in your sector and explore how collaborating with the university can help your business grow.
