Reduction linocut is one of the techniques favoured by Picasso. It involves using a single block of lino to create a multicoloured print by cutting away areas of the image to layer different colours on top of one another.

In this workshop, I will guide you through each stage of the process from creating and transferring a design, cutting the lino, inking up using water-based inks, proofing, registration and handburnishing, in order to produce a limited edition of prints which you can take away.

This workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some previous lino experience. All resources, materials and tools, tea and coffee are provided. Please bring a packed lunch or pick up something delicious from the Bradley Pantry downstairs.
