Comedy @ The Fort #19!We are opening up our cocktail &#x27;Rum Shack&#x27;, and indoor bar exclusively for this event - serving fresh cocktails, as well as our delicious spirits, throughout the whole night... And, we will have our very own pizza oven cooking up fresh, handmade artisan pizzas, which will be on sale until around 19:30! Doors open at 17:30, with the acts commencing at 20:00.We are proud to bring you yet another star-studded lineup, headlined by the one and only Dane Baptiste, who will be supported by history-making Esther Manito &amp; critically acclaimed David Arnold!With appearances ranging from national TV series to live shows, and many awards between them... One of his significant achievements was being the first Black British comic ever to be nominated for Best Newcomer at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014. This led to him creating, writing, and starring in &#x27;SunnyD&#x27;, the first sitcom with a Black British cast to appear on the BBC in over 20 years. Dane&#x27;s TV and radio credits continued to grow, including appearances on &#x27;Live At The Apollo&#x27; and various comedy shows like &#x27;8 out of 10 Cats&#x27; and &#x27;Mock the Week&#x27;. His live shows, such as &#x27;Reasonable Doubts&#x27; and &#x27;Gold Oil and Drugs&#x27;, were not only successful international tours but were also adapted for streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.In addition to his TV and live work, Dane has found success in the podcast world. His podcast, &#x27;Dane Baptiste Questions Everything&#x27;, has gained popularity and featured notable guests such as Reggie Yates and Ed Miliband. The podcast has received top listings in the Comedy and Conversation genre on Spotify and has been nominated for awards. Dane&#x27;s recent ventures include creating and starring in the critically acclaimed show &#x27;Bamous&#x27; on the BBC and his web series &#x27;The A-Z Of Blackness&#x27; on YouTube. He continues to perform internationally, provide writing services for various projects, and has released his first online special, &#x27;The Chocolate Chip&#x27;.

ESTHER MANITOEsther Manito is an Arab Essex girl who is breaking stereotypes and challenging preconceptions. With her razor-sharp wit and unique perspective, Esther has shared the stage with comedy heavyweights such as Alan Davies, Shappi Korsandi, and Al Murray. You may have seen her on ITV&#x27;s Stand Up Sketch Show or heard her on BBC sounds&#x27; Russel Kane&#x27;s Evil Genius. Her talent has also taken her to Live at the Apollo and the Dubai Opera House, where she made history as the first female comedian to perform there.Winner of the Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2021, Esther Manito is a Lebanese-British stand-up comedian who is leaving audiences in stitches with her hilarious and thought-provoking performances. Her performances have earned her recognition as a finalist in the So You Think You&#x27;re Funny Awards and the Funny Women Awards. Esther is not only a brilliant comedian but also an accomplished writer and actor with credits including Mark Watson Talks A Bit About Life and The Stand Up Sketch Show. She has taken her shows to prestigious festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe, Women in Comedy Festival, and Latitude Festival, where she received glowing reviews for her insightful and empowering take on feminism and everyday sexism.

DAVID ARNOLDDavid Arnold has been performing on the comedy circuit for over 7 years &amp; has performed all over the UK for some of the country’s biggest promoters. He has shared the stage with many of today&#x27;s crop of TV talent, performed at some major UK festivals &amp; has won critical acclaim in competitions such as So You Think You&#x27;re Funny &amp; The South Coast!
