I am delighted to have the opportunity to invite you to a workshop to be delivered by Cambridge Enterprise Ltd, the commercialisation subsidiary of Cambridge University – arguably one of the leading University Tech Transfer teams in the world. The date and place deliberately coincides with the annual MTRC conference. Learn how to transform your research outputs into viable commercial opportunities for societal benefit and economic impact. Understand how to navigate the intricacies of intellectual property, licensing, and the creation of business models. Delve into the strategic decision-making processes necessary for launching a new commercial proposition and the steps involved in establishing a spinout company.This event is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to embark on a journey of commercialisation in the STEM sector. Separate workshops focusing on the SHAPE subjects and software commercialisation will be held later in the autumn of 2024.The workshop will run as a parallel session at the MTRC conference on 4th to 5th September.
