Join us for an interactive online session where you can learn about our new Communities Framework, and how you can help shape it.

<h3>Join us for an interactive and engaging session where we are inviting feedback on our draft Communities Framework.</h3> The Framework is being developed to set out the principles, ways of working and legislation that Historic Environment Scotland (HES) aligns to when working with communities. It will support our staff and partners to help build stronger, more resilient communities and to identify and, where possible, take forward actions to improve their local area and more specifically the historic environment.Rather than share a draft Framework with you, members of Historic Environment Scotland's Community and Economic Development Team will use this event as an opportunity to talk through the proposed key principles, bringing these to life with case studies and project examples. You'll also hear first hand from some of our external partners about their experiences and aspirations.We appreciate that the word 'community' can have many different meanings and as such, we are keen to hear from as wide a range of voices as possible during this session. You might work directly or indirectly with communities, at a local or national level, in a professional or voluntary capacity... whatever your involvement, we look forward to hearing your insights.We'll be using Slido throughout the event to gather your thoughts and feedback - don't worry if you haven't used it before as we'll talk through how it works before getting started. Joining instructions will be emailed to all attendees 48 hours before the event starts. Live captions and technical support will be available throughout the event if needed.
