<ul><li>If the course is FULL please join the Wait List and email kirsty@sccan.scot for the latest information on places available. </li></ul>Community Climate Coaches Training with SCCAN and the Permaculture Association The free Community Climate Coaches training is delivered as a partnership between SCCAN and the Permaculture Association, and includes four parts:<ul><li>An online self-study Foundations of Community Climate Coaching course</li><li>A preparatory online call</li><li>a 2 day in-person deep dive training in Stirling</li><li>follow up online sessions to plan your next steps in community climate action.</li></ul>What is the training?Community Climate Coaches is an exciting opportunity for individuals involved in community-led climate action to build their skills and knowledge. The training involves 2 days of in-person training, 2 or 3 online sessions typically delivered over a period of 1 or 2 months (around 9 hours) and about 15 hours of preparatory viewing, listening and reading through an online self-study Foundations of Community Climate Coaching courseWhat will I learn?You will build your capacity to design community-engagement processes for climate action initiatives, based on a 6 phase CCC resilience pathway. The training includes support material such as a workbook and useful videos. Places will be confirmed by 1 August. A number of places will be reserved for people under 30 years old.If you have any questions or are interested but have any additional needs that may affect your participation, please get in touch at kirsty@sccan.scotWhat is the commitment?As a participant in the CCC training, you commit to 2 days of in-person training, 2 or 3 online sessions and preparation time for these sessions - around 30 hours in total, over 1-2 months.Who is this aimed at?<ul><li>People already working in community climate action initiatives or running a local/ regional climate hub</li><li>Organisations driving change through climate action</li><li>People with facilitation, engagement and training skills who want to engage people in community climate action</li><li>People involved in other networks with a focus on community-led action initiatives e.g. Transition Towns, XR, etc.</li><li>Local authority / public sector / education sector climate action staff, and / or Rural/ urban Community Development Officers</li></ul>Do I need previous experience?This program is open to anyone with passion and commitment to creating positive change in their community. We consider the CCC training to be an Intermediate level (it is not a basic introduction to climate action).
