Community Creatives Workshop - Kelvedon Hatch
A hands on workshop combining art and creativity with wellbeing, mindfulness and self-care tips so you can Create Yourself Calm
Who is this for?
Our new monthly workshops are aimed at bringing creative opportunities with a wellbeing focus into the wider Brentwood borough community. Anyone from complete beginners to more experienced creatives are welcome to attend these FREE workshops, funded by the Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. You just need to be prepared to relax and enjoy the process of creating. The workshops are for anyone over the age of 18 years and include a drink and light refreshments.
Community Creatives Workshop
Join us at Fane Hall, Kelvedon Hatch for a calming and creative workshop that blends art and mindfulness, designed to help you relax, explore your creativity, and enjoy the process without pressure. This session is suitable for both beginners and more experienced creatives, offering an opportunity to unwind, experiment with different techniques, and focus on the joy of being creative.
Each workshop will include guided mindfulness exercises to help you ground yourself in the present moment and fully immerse in the creative experience. You’ll be encouraged to embrace the process rather than focus on the final outcome, allowing your creativity to flow freely.
We warmly welcome people in our local community who may need to take some time out for themselves in a supportive and nurturing environment. All materials are provided, so there’s no need to bring anything – just come as you are.
Whether you’re seeking inspiration, relaxation, a creative escape, or opportunity to connect with others in your local area, this workshop offers a welcoming space for you to recharge and express yourself.
Our monthly sessions will include activities such as:
- Mindful Drawing and Painting — exploring self‑expression with the aim of enjoying the process
- Creative Journaling & Reflection — using writing, collage and imaginative prompts
- Relaxation & Guided Meditations — to help reduce stress and improve wellbeing
- Group Sharing & Community Building — safe group spaces to connect and be heard

More about us and the day....
Who are we?
We are a team of professionals, art teachers and counsellors, mindfulness teacher who share a passion for the crossover between creativity and self-care. We're here to help you make the most of your me-time.
What happens on the day?
We'll provide you with a starting point to get creative, linked to our mindful moment and let you explore the materials and to enjoy the process. You may end up painting, cutting, collaging or doodling - there are no rules!
Don't worry if you're a beginner as we have some great tricks for producing some colourful creative work. More experienced creatives can try something new and experiment. The main aim is to enjoy the process and to forget about organising home/life/work/what to cook for dinner etc for a while. The workshop will run for 90 minutes where we will intersperse the time with mindfulness and creative activities at a relaxed pace.
All materials are provided plus hot drinks and refreshments will be included. Car parking is available on streets nearby Fane Hall. We ask that you please park courteously to local people.
