We are committed to promoting community cohesion. We also understand that there are difficult questions to be asked and conversations to be had in order to build a better and more inclusive society.Community Futures Trust CICcarries out capacity building activity with charitable organisations including governance arrangements; business and work action planning; project development and delivery; needs analyses; designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems; policy development and fundraising. It also takes on specific support for older people; Jobs Clubs and direct support for unemployed adults; skills development in communications, team working, decision making and IT; and training in youth leadership, community development, fundraising  and many other areas.

Aim: Improve the say local people and organisations have in services and set up their own local cohesion projects Led by Jonny Wineberg, Founder &amp; Director of Community Futures Trust CIC, this session will enable participants to:<ul><li>Identify and tackle barriers to empowering people and organisations</li><li>Identify and use practical and creative methods to engage people</li><li>Understand asset-based community development, its values and practice principles</li><li>Use the ‘PASSION’ checklist to increase the effectiveness of empowerment activities</li><li>Help people from local communities to lead on engagement</li></ul>
