Is the event really free?

Yes! We just ask that you register in advance, so that we can plan enough eggs for everyone. We are prioritising space allocation for families within our local community, so please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate ticket bookings from people outside of Greenwich & Bexley.

What audience is this event targeting?

This is a community event, designed to provide accessible entertainment for families with young children from our locality in Shooters Hill, the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and the London Borough of Bexley.

What age group is this event for?

Accepted Answer

The hunt is designed for children under 12 and their families. Older ages are welcome to attend, but we ask that all attendees be mindful that this event is designed for younger ones, who may not be as fast to find their share of eggs.

We ask that children not be left unattended.

What should we bring?

We suggest comfortable outdoor shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and something to drink (though there’s a café on-site for hot or soft drinks!).

What kind of eggs will be hidden?

We will be hiding mostly chocolate eggs, though a few surprise eggs will be available.

Can adults join the hunt?

Adults are welcome to help the children they’re accompanying to find the eggs, but this event is designed for children to enjoy.

What if the weather is bad?

We’ll go ahead in light rain. If severe weather is expected, we’ll email all registered participants with updates or alternative plans.

There will be some limits to access. There is a short walk between car parking spaces and the Castle.

Well‑behaved pets are welcome, as long as they remain on leads and are kept away from the egg‑hunting zones for safety.
