William Morris Gallery is Located in Walthamstow at Water House, a substantial Grade II listed Georgian home. The extensive grounds of the buildings are a public park, known as Lloyds Park

“The William Morris Gallery is a museum, devoted to the life and works of William Morris an English Arts and Crafts designer and early socialist.

It holds the most comprehensive collection of objects relating to all aspects of Morris’s life and work, including his work as a designer, a writer and a social activist”

Morris was inspired by Turkish ceramics and Persian carpets to create a new movement in British design. For him, the Muslim world had managed to preserve the art of the craftsman and avoid the ills of industrial production. He espoused the philosophy that art should be affordable and handmade; this was already a reality in the Islamic world.

All members of our community are most welcome, so please honour us with your presence.

Refreshments will be provided and booking is essential.

There are no wudhu facilities, so please come prepared.
Please bring your own prayer mat or a picnic blanket.

There will be media on site, photography and videography so please do wear a mask if you do not want to be recorded. We will consider non-masked individuals to have consented to photography / videography.
