Community Asset Mapping Workshop: Creating Kingston's Donut Economics Portrait & Green Map
Join us for an collaborative session to map Kingston's community assets and co-create a visual representation of our local economy through the lens of Doughnut Economics principles.
Who should attend:
- Community members who have attended previous sessions or have deep knowledge of local assets, resources, and initiatives
- Individuals with design or mapping skills to help visualize our findings
- Anyone passionate about creating accessible, community-driven resources that showcase Kingston's strengths
What we'll do:
- Share and document existing community assets (organizations, businesses, resources, natural spaces, cultural sites)
- Collaboratively design a Green Map that highlights these assets for community use
- Explore how these assets contribute to a thriving local economy within planetary boundaries
- Create visual tools that make this information accessible and useful for all residents
