Community Workshop: Proper Self Care

Self Space provide flexible, forward thinking therapy which focuses on supporting people to maintain good mental health and ultimately reach their potential. Their vision is to revolutionise the culture around accessing mental health support, making it more commonplace and aspirational. They want striving for mental wellness to feel like something people are proud of. They want to see people not only turning to therapy in a time of crisis, but instead, focusing on maintaining healthy mental wellbeing throughout their lives, in the same way most of us do with our physical health.

Self-care has been a buzzword circulating social media and day-to-day conversation, but so many of us struggle with it. We have a disinclination to be on our own side. We know that daily exercise and drinking 2L of water is good for us, but we don&#x27;t often do it!For us, self-care is not just saying yes to the things that are good for us, but finding the discipline to say no to the things that don&#x27;t serve us.Join us as we uncover some of the obstacles that we might be facing when it comes to really taking care of ourselves and meeting our needs. As well as sharing practical tips to make self-care more personable and achievable.All attendees will get 50% off their first 2 sessions face to face in Brighton. About the facilitator:Daniela Gallini, BSc (Hons) in Psychology, MA, HCPC, BADth TherapistDaniela has a client-centred approach as a way to access and process difficult emotions. She has a creative and dynamic approach to her practice and works with clients to support their growth, move beyond feelings of stuckness and process challenging experiences. She has a special interest in working with trauma and PTSD, helping clients ground themselves in the present moment. She has experience working with a range of psychological needs including, ASD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and misbehaving conduct. She has a wide range of experience facilitating individual and group therapy and has worked within the NHS. Daniela offers sessions in English and in Spanish.
