Community x Arts x Tech Meet-up

Are you a creative or technologist trying to make things happen in and with communities? Looking for collaborators, new tools or solidarity?

Our monthly Community x Arts x Tech Meetup is a place to get inspired by projects that mix community, arts, and tech. Come together and connect over food!

Each month, we start with a theme as a playful conversation starter. We then have space for open sharing followed by a chance to eat and meet people.

Everyone’s welcome, whether you want to share your own project and get some supportive feedback (anything from seeds of ideas to fully grown creations) or just come along to listen. We also warmly invite you to bring props, prototypes, or anything you’d like to test out.

This month, we'll be meeting at The Factory for a Festive special! Schedule:

6:00-6:20 Arrive at The Factory - grab a hot drink and some dinner (all free)

6:20 - 6:45 Creative festive activities - option to craft your own laser-cut bauble and see how a vinyl cutter can be hacked with a sharpie pen to draw wrapping paper!

6:45-7 BREAK

7:00 - 8:00 Sharing Community x Arts x Tech project/ideas - bring something to share or welcome to just listen.

8:00-8:30 Optional tour of The Factory.

If you'd like a slot to share something (anything from 2-10mins), let us know in the Eventbrite form to help us plan the evening. Give us a heads-up if you'd like any tech to present with too (we have TV screen, iPads, VR Headsets and lots more). This sharing is very informal and friendly.

Please let us know if you have any access needs which you'd like support with, and we’ll do our best to meet them.
