Yes. To get the full benefit of taking part you are expected to attend all five sessions of Compose it!

Is there parking on site?

There's no parking on site but you can drop off at the university entrance. Nearest parking is at Kingsgate Shopping Centre.

Question 3

Where will the sessions be held?

They will be on the University of Huddersfield campus in a classroom.

Question 4

Are the workshops accessible?

Accepted Answer

The classrooms we use on the university are on a ground floor and are accessible for wheelchair users. If you have any specific access needs please contact the hcmf// Learning & Participation Manager, Sophie Cooper, to discuss.

Question 5

Do you need to have written music before?

Accepted Answer

The short answer is no. This course is about learning about different types of music and how you could write for instruments you might not have encountered before. If you love music, you're in.

Question 6

Do I need to be able to read music?

Accepted Answer

The short answer is no. There are lots of ways to explore writing music and notation is one of them but you don't have to use it. We'll support everyone to write great music, no matter where you're starting from.
