Each piece will be accompanied by brief commentary, offering cultural and historical context to guide the listening experience.

The evening opens with Damla Tuncer sharing her personal path in music—her early decision to become a musician, her training across Europe, and the evolving role of the oboist in both Western and Turkish traditions. She will also give a short introduction to the oboe itself, highlighting its tonal richness and emotional range.

The repertoire features a carefully selected programme of works by John Dowland, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Scott Joplin, Astor Piazzolla, Ekrem Zeki Ün, and Ennio Morricone, offering a rare chance to hear the oboe across genres, styles, and eras.
