Confidance are hosting an open workshop for people interested in teaching, assisting and volunteering for Confidance!
We invite you to attend a Confidance workshop where you will meet some of our team, learn about our inclusive practice and participate in a relaxed dance session alongside some of our regular participants.
We want to meet people from different backgrounds and with different levels of experience, from those interested in voluntering, to those who wish to assist or teach our classes.
We are looking for people who:
- have experience in dance or movement training
- are over 16 years old
- are interested in working with learning disabled people
- are up for learning about the Confidance mission, ethos and training in our person-centred practice
The workshop will include:
- an introduction to our ethos and mission
- learning about our practice and why we exit in Kent
- a 1 hour taster-workshop, where we will be joined by some of our regular participants
After the workshop, attendees will be invited to make an expression of interest and successful applicants will be invited to interview.

Frequently asked questions
No, you do not have to have formal qualifications in dance to attend or register your interest. We are seeking people with a range of experience for a few different roles in the future. If you apply after the event, we will ask about your relevant previous experience.
Not at all! Just bring yourself, wearing some comfortable clothing and footwear. We may ask you to share some movement or ideas during the session, but this will be part of a creative task.
Of course! We welcome anyone interested in working with Confidance to attend, and we are confident in working with and supporting access needs for work. If you are interested in being a participant, but not working with us, then please get in touch with us through our website.
