Description

We're proud to be launching this year's Spring Forward Festival with a workshop designed to give this city's digital women an injection of confidence. Brighton Digital Women aims to encourage more women to enter the digital sector and take up leadership roles, and we want to help you go for that great job, speak at that event, rock that big meeting and get that promotion. So we've gathered together some inspirational women to facilitate sessions that will help you feel more confident in yourself, develop confidence in your interpersonal skills with others and gain confidence in speaking to an audience. There’s also free prosecco for an added confidence boost!

Justine Pocock, Head of Design at CodeEnigma, understands why confidence is important for women in our industry. Justine will start the evening with a short talk on mindfulness to strengthen your inner resolve and find a more positive approach to life and work.

Sophie Turton is Director of The Joyful Web and part of the team behind community initiative, BelongCon. She is also a mental health and self-love advocate. Having gone through a difficult journey to finally become comfortable in her own skin, Sophie is sharing her advice on finding confidence in who you are, while loving every minute of it.

As Founder of the City Girl Network, Pippa Moyle has built relationships all around the world, creating a global network of 15,000 members across 13 cities in two years. Pippa will help you find confidence in dealing with others and get braver about making connections.

Theatre-maker and performer Grace Church is here to help you present, project and remain calm when public speaking. An interactive, no pressure session with a sense of humour. Take the pain out of public speaking and gain general confidence through breathing, body language and play.

Then it’s over to you! We will give you 15 minutes to put everything you’ve learned into action, and the opportunity to deliver a short lightening talk on a topic that matters to you. This is your chance to find your voice and practise your skills in a supportive environment.
