Effective conflict management is essential to the successful delivery of construction projects. With multiple stakeholders involved, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, disagreements can arise over health and safety, programme delivery, quality standards, resources, contractual obligations, and stakeholder expectations. When managed effectively, conflict can become a positive force that drives innovation, problem-solving, and stronger working relationships.

This practical half-day session will provide delegates with an introduction to the tools and techniques needed to identify, manage and resolve conflict in a constructive and professional manner. Through industry-relevant scenarios and case studies, participants will explore different conflict management styles, develop confidence in communicating during challenging situations, and learn how to prevent everyday disagreements from escalating into disputes that can impact project performance.

This session is aimed at construction professionals who are responsible for managing people, teams and working relationships, including company owners, directors, project and contracts managers, site managers, supervisors, foremen and team leaders. Her training and coaching style combines up to date theory and thinking with practical experience which comes from her extensive senior management career. She continuously researches the most up to date thinking, theories, and papers in her specialist areas, when writing training programmes.
