<h2>Why I created CONNECT</h2>Life can be overwhelming and lonely, and it&#x27;s important to me that, first and foremost, this event brings people together, allowing them to kick back and have fun!As someone who has run solo and team-based businesses and developed a varied career, I have craved the opportunity to connect with people in a productive, informal and fun way without the disingenuous pressure of &#x27;what can I get from this?&#x27;. The power of getting together and authentically reconnecting is greatly needed, especially in a world where we are divided and distracted. This event is to bring people together in a genuine way. We will be connecting with new contacts and checking in with existing ones, CONNECT is my contribution to a balanced life. To bring people together and connect everyone, allowing us to get together and take the time to have fun and celebrate. Who knows who you will meet; future workmates, friends and opportunities. Together we are stronger. <h2>Event objective</h2>To create an environment for like-minded people to meet and build genuine relationships with potential business/career supporters and collaborators and open opportunities. Clear time to switch off and connect with people, take stock, and celebrate the good times!<h2>What will happen in CONNECT?</h2>• We will get to know each other through fun, non-cheesy &#x27;get to know you&#x27; games.• There is an opportunity to pitch the group (for 3-5 people, limited time to present/pitch); this isn&#x27;t a hardcore sales pitch. Remember everyone is there to have fun, so make sure you highlight the benefit of what you are offering. • Celebrate what is good by taking a moment to reflect and be grateful for what is working for you and the support you have received. If you feel lost or overwhelmed, this is an excellent way to refocus your mind and set you up positively.<h2>This event is for you if …</h2>• You are looking to connect with new people outside of your network• If you want to boost your career or business• If you are offering an opportunity either because you need help with an area that you aren&#x27;t confident with or to pay it forward• You want to celebrate your recent wins!<h2>What do you take away?</h2>• Meet like-minded people and make contacts in all areas of industries, businesses and career levels in an informal way• Create new, unanticipated opportunities• The opportunity to de-stress, let your hair down and relaxLight food provided.
