Do you cater for specific dietary requirements?

Accepted Answer

Yes, vegan, vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options will be available. A special requirements form will be sent to you after booking.

Is the retreat accessible?

Accepted Answer

There are disabled toilet facilities and flat access to the cafe and activity room.

Is parking available?

Free parking is available

Question 4

Can I get to the retreat by public transport?

Accepted Answer

The bus stop is located outside the camping park on the 9A route from Exeter to Seaton. Nearest train stations are Exeter and Honiton

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Refunds are available up until 48 hours prior to the retreat commencing, subject to a small admin charge to cover costs.

Question 6

Can I upgrade to a weekend retreat?

Accepted Answer

You are able to upgrade to a weekend retreat, starting from 17.00 on Friday 8 September to lunch time on Sunday 10 September. The retreat is inclusive of accommodation and  food. Prices start from £208.

Can I stay at the park before or after the retreat?

Camping or glamping pods are available to book. Please check the Kingsdown Tail website to view the accommodation available and ring Vicki on 01297 680313 to book.

Question 8

Is food available after the retreat?

Accepted Answer

A ploughman's supper and quiz is taking place at the site after the retreat. You will be most welcome to stay and an additional charge for the supper will be made.

I don't regularly practice meditation, is the retreat for me?

Accepted Answer

This is an accessible retreat open experienced meditators or those new to the practice.
I will give you guidance and share recommendations and all meditation practices are guided. Many of the practices are short with some longer meditations and yoga nidras as the retreat progresses. I will be guide

Question 11

I can’t sit cross legged or sit on the floor, can I still come to the retreat?

Accepted Answer

Of course, sitting on the floor is not for everyone and you can practice equally well sat on a chair.
Some practices like yoga nidra are best practiced lying down, so you can completely relaxed. Mats and chairs will be provided.
We can be flexible to fit in with your needs.

What do I need to bring with me?

Accepted Answer

You may wish to bring your own yoga mat, cushion and blanket for your comfort for the yoga nidra practices. Equipment will be available for your use if this will be difficult for you to bring with you.
Chairs will be available.
Some warm clothing is advisable for any out of doors meditation

Question 13

I haven’t been a meditation retreat before, what can I expect?

Accepted Answer

It’s an informal space, where we will take it the days at a relaxed pace. There will be time for meditation and practice inside and out, a chance to appreciate nature. All the meditation practices are guided, but I will also leave time for self-reflection and plenty of breaks  with cake available.
