Join us for the private view of Connected Creativity: A Transatlantic Exhibition of Practice-Based Research

Connected Creativity is an exhibition that marks the beginning of a collaboration between creative practitioners from both sides of the Atlantic. It features the work of four artists who are engaged in practice-based research as a means of exploring critical and innovative approaches to their craft. Julie Marsh&#x27;s interactive work, Virtual Assembly  uses &quot;technical machines&quot; to explore social and community spaces in collaboration with the communities themselves. Alyssa Bistonath&#x27;s film Portals connects past and future times and spaces for an immigrant population. Shezad Dawood&#x27;s VR experience, Terrarium, is the result of conversations with scientists and imagines the far future of our oceans and the communities around them. In  Animachina, Jonathon Anderson depicts human and robot dance partners in a &quot;collaborative duet&quot; that explores the robot partner as an extension of humanity. Together, these works exemplify the principles of practice-based research that are collaborative, technologically experimental, socially engaged, and innovative, contrasting the work of researchers from The Creative School at  Toronto Metropolitan University and the <a href="https://cream.ac.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">University of Westminster School of Arts, Centre for Research in Art and Media (CREAM)</a>.
