Connecting Design Systems 'Hack' #2
Overview
Join us online for a cross-government workshop, run by MOJ and GDS.We're building on work from the Design System 'Hack' Day in 2024. At that event, people from across government explored common challenges with reusing components, patterns and guidance across design systems. This session continues that work. We'll take early ideas further and explore how to add them into the Gov Reuse Library and other platforms.
We’ll look at:
- how people find existing components, patterns and guidance
Format:
This will be a remote workshop. It will be hands-on and collaborative. You'll work with others to explore problems, generate ideas and prototype. You can use whatever format works best for you. You do not need to have attended the previous Hack Day.
Plan for the session:
- Welcome and context-setting
- What we learned from the November 2024 Hack Day
- Small-group exercises exploring discovery and natural language
- Building on and combining ideas from earlier work
- Show and tell, discussion and close
