Discover more about contemporary and historic hand stitched textiles in this visit to Gallery Oldham. The afternoon includes a tour of the Connecting Threads 2 exhibition by Lynn Setterington which features five quilts on loan from museum collections and not seen in public before. There will also be a talk by Karen Heatley, social history curator at Gallery Oldham, who will share examples of 19th C samplers and hand made textiles. You can also visit Oldham Stories, the new public galleries which feature objects and information about cotton production in the town.

The gallery is 20 minutes by tram from central Manchester.
