Connectors Circle
A faciliated space to discover skills to have difficult conversations with people different to you
The Connectors Circle: Practising Skills for Difficult Conversations
A facilitated practice space for navigating charged conversations across difference
We live in a time when conversations often fall apart—into arguments, awkward silences, or people just talking past each other. The Connectors Circle is a different kind of space: a chance to practise staying present and genuinely curious when things get heated.
This is an in-person, facilitated gathering for people who want to get better at talking across political, cultural, and personal difference—not by avoiding the hard stuff, but by learning to stay in the room with it.
What actually happens?
This isn't a talk, a debate, or a networking event. The conversation is the event.
Together, we'll create shared agreements for how we want to handle disagreement and strong emotions. Then we'll practise—exploring a topic chosen by participants, with real facilitation keeping us on track.
The focus is on understanding rather than winning, asking questions rather than convincing, and staying emotionally present without shutting down.
What to expect
All perspectives are welcome here—and all ideas are open to being explored and challenged (including your own). Strong feelings are expected and treated as useful information, not problems to fix.
We hold clear boundaries so that everyone can stay in the conversation. Participation means respecting the shared practice, and safeguarding measures—including removal if necessary—are in place to support the group.
This space is for you if you're willing to:
· Lead with curiosity rather than certainty
· Hold your convictions and stay open to challenge
· Value understanding over being right
